The Air Cadet Charity is delighted to announce that BAE Systems has pledged £30,000 to support our work, with the funding provided being unrestricted.
This flexible support means we can direct the funding where it will have the greatest impact for cadets and squadrons across the UK, responding quickly to real needs on the ground.
At a time when demand for our funding significantly outstrips the resources available, unrestricted support like this is invaluable. Applications from squadrons and cadets continue to exceed the funds the Charity has to distribute, highlighting just how vital external investment is in sustaining opportunity.

A partnership renewed
BAE Systems previously worked with the Charity under its former name and has been a longstanding supporter of the cadet movement. This renewed commitment marks the first formal connection since we became an independent charity in December 2023.
Their wider commitment to supporting communities aligns strongly with our mission: ensuring young people across the UK can access life-changing experiences, skills and opportunities through Royal Air Force Air Cadets.
“Unrestricted funding like this allows us to respond directly to the real pressures cadets and squadrons are facing. We’re proud that BAE Systems is helping us remove financial barriers to ensure every cadet can access life-changing opportunities that develop skills, confidence and resilience. We look forward to building this partnership further.”
Jess Gilbert, Director, Air Cadet Charity

Looking ahead
We are grateful to BAE Systems for their renewed support and look forward to building a strong, forward-looking partnership over the coming years.
If your organisation would like to explore how flexible, strategic investment can help unlock opportunity for young people across the UK, we would be pleased to start a conversation.
