He is a graduate of the Advanced Command and Staff Course where he won the best Defence Research Paper runner up prize and was awarded a Cormorant Fellowship by Kings College London.

Mark’s first job out of the Royal Air Force was as an Operations Director in central government. He then spent 16 years with PwC where he had a senior role in leading or assuring the delivery of national and international complex and high risk transformation programmes for public and private sector clients.

Mark took the lead trustee role, working with Jess, to transform the General Purposes Fund to become a fully independent grant making charity. He is motivated by the positive difference he believes the charity can make in terms of supporting all cadets (regardless of geography or background) to help them grow in confidence, resilience and find a sense of purpose in an increasingly complex world. He has a particular interest in raising awareness of the benefits/challenges of neuro diversity as it relates to young people.

She is responsible for the day-to-day running of the organisation. Her role combines strategic oversight with hands-on delivery to ensure impact and operational excellence.

An experienced programme director and transformation lead, Sally is passionate about driving meaningful change across the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. She spent much of her career as a management consultant at Accenture and PwC, helping clients deliver strategic and technology transformations and optimising operations across multiple industries. In addition, she brings 12 years of in-house experience working in government, education, and non-profit organisations.

Putting people at the heart of the change and turning challenges into opportunities, is central to her approach.

Hemma is passionate about the mission and values of the Air Cadet Charity. Having spent the last 12 years working across national charities, she now provides strategic direction and communications expertise at BALPA, the professional association for UK airline pilots. Hemma is also a Trustee of the RAF Museum and sits on her local council’s Violence Against Women and Girls strategy panel. An avid global traveller, Hemma spends what spare time she does have fostering dogs with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.

These include - Local Government (Wycombe District Council), Transport for London and Central Government (Civil Service). She has managed projects within civil engineering, regeneration/urban realm, transport, IT/Technology, transformation and HR.

Victoria has skills in planning, delivery, events, demos, business change, communications, stakeholder management and HR. In her present role, Victoria has additional responsibilities as a Gateway Reviewer as part of a voluntary group that assesses large government projects (independent from the department they sit in). She is also an innovation coach and helps people within projects to use innovation to improve their delivery. Victoria is also a uniformed member of staff in the Air Cadet Organisation, receiving her commission in the RAF ATC as an officer in 2009. She has undertaken leadership and management training in her role, as well as qualifications/experience in adventure training, aviation and first aid.

This resulted in a 45 year career in the Aerospace and Defence industry in a number of roles, covering commercial, customer support and business development, leading teams across the globe, working across both commercial aerospace and defence customers. Latterly he was the Executive leader within Collins Aerospace Avionics Division responsible for Global Military Avionics business development team. As part of a complex multi-national business, leading multi cultural teams, he brings experience in complex programs, stakeholder management and strong interpersonal skills. He graduated from the Open University in 2003 with an MBA.

Outside of his professional life he is the Chair of Wallingford Sports Trust, a Director of Wallingford Rugby Club where he has been involved for over thirty years. He is a passionate believer in encouraging young people to develop their abilities in whatever arena they find comfortable and the Air Cadets is clearly one of those organisations that can offer the chance and the variety of opportunities, for them to do develop.

Prior to which he worked in investment management and investment banking. As a fund manager his responsibilities included the active management of cash, bonds and equities for high-net-worth individuals and charities.

In investment banking he advised and managed complex institutional clients and also took a leading role on the public offering of a number of European owned companies. He is a chartered fellow of the Securities Institute and has an MA in economics and economic history from Edinburgh University.

Joined the British Army at 16 to be a Royal Signals Technician which he happily did for 6 years before moving to the Army Air Corps to become an Apache Helicopter Pilot. After 15 years’ service Kevin left the Army and entered the world of project management. During these early years he also volunteered with the Army Cadet Force and was responsible for the Duke of Edinburgh award for Surrey Army Cadet Force, leaving after 5 years’ service. Fast forward to today, Kevin is Vice President of one of the world’s largest IT companies.

He is married and has 2 children and 2 dogs. He lives in Surrey and enjoys spending time with his family and on his own in the gym.

Her partner is the current serving O/C of IX(B) Sqn and together they have three little girls, one lurcher and 9 comedy chickens.

Having seen first hand within her own family the positive impact the charity can make, Abigail is passionate about contributing to the Air Cadet Charity. Continuing to develop, promote and help safeguard the charity for the next generations, especially in light of the UK Strategic Defence Review outcomes and ambitions for the British Cadet Forces at large.

During which time he completed his Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award. These early character forming experiences were instrumental in determining his subsequent career in international business and in the pro bono charitable work he has undertaken.

Norman is a graduate of Heriot- Watt University where he was appointed an Honorary Professor and is an alumnus  of the Harvard Business School.

He is a past president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, a former chairman of the British Venture Capital Association, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, a Freeman of the City of London and was awarded a CBE in the 2022 New Year’s Honours List for services to the Arts. He is currently chair of the ICAS Foundation which provides bursaries and mentors to socially disadvantaged young people who have the talent and ambition to attend university and then train as a chartered accountant. Norman has chaired two FTSE 100 companies and served on the boards of a range of companies over many years including Bristow Helicopter Group.

At this stage in his life his pro bono and charitable work is centred on the arts and in supporting young people achieve their ambitions by helping to provide the opportunities available to him in his formative years. He and his wife Pam have been supporters of the Flying Aces Scheme for many years and have been inspired by the difference it has made to deserving young people.

She brings a wealth of expertise in accountancy, communication, and collaboration and holds a degree in Banking and Finance and has achieved the first level of the ACCA qualification, reflecting her commitment to continuous professional development.

Proud of her Indian heritage, Hetna values the opportunity to represent her background as a member of the board of trustees. She is passionate about ensuring diverse perspectives contribute to the mission and vision of the Air Cadet Charity. Beyond her professional pursuits, Hetna has been an integral part of the Air Cadets community. Starting as a cadet herself for five years, she transitioned to a leadership role as a civilian instructor and has served as an adjutant for the past 13 years. This deep connection fuels her passion for youth mentorship and organisational leadership. Her commitment to community service extends further, as she actively contributes to various volunteering opportunities, including initiatives for homeless charities.

He dedicated 29 years to the RAF, serving initially as a Navigator before re-training as a Pilot in 2001. Daz flew C130J Hercules aircraft during a period of intense operational activity supporting missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. After completing his Command tour with 24 Squadron at RAF Brize Norton, Daz transitioned to industry in 2019, beginning a new chapter with Thales where he continues to contribute his expertise today.

Currently an experienced Managing Director, Daz brings significant business acumen and an extensive network spanning both industry and the Royal Air Force to the Air Cadet Charity.

He is married with one daughter and resides in Wiltshire. Outside of work, he enjoys football, paddleboarding, sub-aqua diving, and skiing.

He's helped to shape strategy and build identities across many sectors. Drawn to purpose-led work, from government to the third sector, he spent 20 years rising from designer to creative director in leading London agencies, then the last 15 years co-owning a design studio.

He’s equally committed to youth development, especially within the RAFAC. After eight years as a cadet, he commissioned on ageing out as a Cadet Warrant Officer and went on to serve for three decades across multiple wings and squadrons mostly in and around London. He has been a Qualified Gliding Instructor on a Volunteer Gliding Squadron, a Region Staff Officer but for the most part a Wing Staff Officer focused on training. Passionate about Adventure Training, he has led expeditions across Africa and received the Shackleton Trophy. He continues to support Cadet and Reserve Force expeditions through the Ulysses Trust as a member of the Grants Awards Committee.
