When his local squadron reached out for support, Lee, a Corporate Sales Manager at Currys Business, didn’t hesitate to get involved. Wanting to understand their needs properly, he arranged a visit to see how he could help. It quickly became clear that the squadron needed guidance on navigating the world of technology - from identifying the right equipment, to understanding what would offer the best value and long-term benefit for cadets.
“I was truly inspired to see more than 20 young teenagers actively engaged in a safe and supportive environment. They were learning new skills, guided by a dedicated team of adult volunteers who generously give up their time to make this possible.”

Realising that many squadrons across the RAF Air Cadets face similar challenges, Lee approached the Air Cadet Charity to explore how he and Currys Business could offer wider support. We are delighted that he has chosen to work with us to help more units access reliable, appropriate and cost-effective technology.
Lee is generously offering his time and expertise to any squadron seeking advice. This includes helping units understand what tech they actually need, suggesting suitable equipment options, and recommending solutions and products Currys Business can provide.
“I believe nothing is more important than giving our children the best opportunities to grow into adult life, equipped with real-world skills, positive behaviours, and the confidence to pursue meaningful careers. The Air Cadets provide exactly this - and more.”
